Welcome to Ham Encounters — a brand-new home for amateur radio operators!  After months of planning and building, we’re thrilled to finally open the doors. This site was created with one clear goal in mind: To make ham radio more accessible, enjoyable, and connected for everyone — especially for new and returning hams.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Clear, beginner-friendly guides and tutorials
  • Practical advice on equipment, antennas, and operating
  • Real stories and experiences from fellow hams
  • A growing collection of helpful resources
  • A friendly community space to learn, share, and grow together

Whether you just got your Technician license, you’re upgrading to General or Extra, or you’ve been on the air for decades — there’s something here for you.

Why We Built Ham Encounters

We noticed a gap. Many websites are either too technical for beginners or too basic for active hams. We wanted to create a place that feels welcoming to newcomers while still offering real value to experienced operators.  This is a community-driven project, and we want you to be part of it.

What Happens Next?

We’ll be regularly adding new articles, guides, photo galleries, and resources. We also plan to launch forums, a classifieds section, and more interactive features in the coming months.  In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you!

  • What topics would you like us to cover?
  • What kind of content would help you the most?
  • Are you interested in writing or contributing?
